SUMMARY OR PURPOSE

DUTIES OF THE POSITION

Performs general labor work in and around residential homes for new construction, renovation and emergency repairs.

Cleans work area and departmental equipment (vehicles & equipment). Maintains cleanliness of entire construction are/work area and equipment.

Remove lumber, materials, and trash from the exterior/interior of all work areas.

Assists construction crew with hauling, moving, relocating materials and equipment.

Operates departmental equipment only as authorized and directed.

Must be able to lift 70 lbs.

Performs other duties as assigned to the department and other departments of Native village of Barrow.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUILIFICATIONS

Valid Alaska Driver License – preferred

Must be able to clean independently, and to comprehend simple task instructions, notes and memos.

Inupiaq Speaking – preferred.
