SUMMARY OR PURPOSE:
The ARPA Specialist will assist in the communication, maintenance and processing of all grant-related duties to support the ARPA department, other related departments and the members of Native Village of Barrow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist both ARPA and compliance manager in all administrative duties.
- Communicate between various departments within Native Village of Barrow regarding ARPA.
- Performs clerical duties including typing, filing, completion of simple forms and ARPA applications.
- Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment.
- Responds to incoming calls, emails and queries from members, clients or individuals from outside entities.
- Copies, sorts, and files records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters.
- Prepare letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions.
- Sorts incoming mail and delivers to appropriate department or individual, processes outgoing mail.
- Maintains filing systems both manually and electronically.
- Track expenses and the projects budget with assistance of the managers.
- Keep documents updated with compliance rules, regulations and policies of all required entities.
- Manages calendars and schedules appointments.
- Assist in monitoring and solving any issues related to the department.
- Process and track applications for various ARPA programs.
- Works in collaboration with the team members.
- Updates management of project progress and status.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

- Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required
Clerical experience preferred.
Inupiat speaking preferred.
Valid Alaska Driver’s License preferred.
