SUMMARY OR PURPOSE The Administrative Intern facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. In addition, the Administrative Intern will work and assist the Administrative Manager with organization of his/her office, writing, filing, and other duties as requested by the Administrative Manager.

 

DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

1. Performs a variety of routine administrative duties including reception, typing, record keeping, organize incoming and outgoing correspondence for the Administrative Manager.

2. Operates office equipment as required, and knowledge of Microsoft software is required.

3. Maintains a high level of confidentiality with records and information.

4. Interacts with the general public and fellow employees in a kind and courteous manner.

5. Perform other duties as assigned and/or directed by the Administrative Manager.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School education or equivalent.

· Valid Alaska Driver’s License preferred.

· Two years of clerical work experience preferred.

· Inupiat speaking preferred.
