The EIS will analyze the potential environmental impacts of streamlining permitting procedures for the authorization of the construction and operations of qualifying production sites in the NPR-A. Chapter 1 of the EIS will outline the purpose and need for the action, while Chapter 2 will describe the alternatives identified for analysis in the EIS. All public meetings (both in-person and virtual) will also include an Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act Section 810 hearing.
