OUR VALUES

Iñupiat Values

As a federally recognized tribe, the Native Village of Barrow (NVB) is directly responsible to its tribal members. During the annual meeting the membership reaffirms or elects new officials. Once elected, NVB Tribal Council is responsible for developing plans of action to address the particular interests of the tribal membership.
