The Native Village of Barrow offers assistance to tribal community members who would like to prepare a Last Will and Testament
Native Village of Barrow Clean Up Crew provides employment of Utqiagvik’s teens and young adults, and offers them experience in the work force while also aiding the community with the elimination of waste on tribal lands and lots. The goal is to assist elders and other community tribal members to improve public health and safety.
Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of the Child Care Center program serving infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Work independently under broad organizational guidelines to achieve the Child Care Center goals and objectives. Ensure the Child Care Center adheres to all applicable federal, tribal, state and local regulations and requirements. Seek funding for the sustainability of the Child Care Center program. Assess program effectiveness including child and family outcomes, staff competencies and determine implementation strategies in partnership with Child Care Team, representatives, and partner agencies.

SUMMARY OR PURPOSE Family Advocate will be responsible for delivering child welfare services and prevention services to families and individuals who are Native Village of Barrow members or eligible to be members.
Elder members of Native Village of Barrow who were members as of December 31, 2024, age of 62 and over are eligible for a stipend. Elders who were enrolled after this date are NOT ELIGIBLE. For 2025 the stipend will be mailed as a one-time payment. Beginning in 2026, stipends will be mailed in quarterly payments.

Public Notice – Special Meeting
The Native Village of Barrow will hold a special meeting on June 10, 2025 at 9:30 AM at the City Chambers in Utqiaġvik. This meeting is a follow-up to the June 5, 2025 session and will address derogatory remarks made on a YouTube channel operated by Nick Johnson. Tribal members are encouraged to attend.
